Edgewater, Fla. (Aug 31, 2015) - Boston Whaler’s newest, boldest and most impressive models have arrived. During the 2015 Cannes Yachting Festival, taking place September 8-13, Boston Whaler representatives will introduce the brand-new, fully completed 420 Outrage and 320 Vantage, allowing guests to hop onboard to experience the revolutionary Boston Whaler ride for themselves.
The 420 Outrage is the only boat of its kind in the marketplace, said Jeff Vaughn, Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service. It’s the largest Boston Whaler ever created, with unbelievable handling, technology and amenities. The 320 Vantage is exceptional in its own right, with dual-console capability and an incredibly comfortable and smooth ride.
Visitors are invited to a press conference on Wednesday, September 9, at 6:30 p.m. on Quai Max Laubeuf, stand #181. The Boston Whaler team will serve cocktails and give a detailed presentation of the new boats, with the 320 Vantage docked in the background. Guests will then climb aboard the 320 Vantage for a quick boat ride to see the 420 Outrage at anchor in a scenic location not far from the show.
We think these new boats are something special, and wanted to create a guest experience to match, Jeff said. Viewing the boats separately in these beautiful locations, then climbing aboard to walk through their interiors, will be quite a moving experience.
The 320 Vantage features a portside companion area with two spacious benches with multiple configurationsfacing forward or aft, combined to form a huge sun lounge, with bolsters up, with or without the aft ottoman engaged. At the helm, a state-of-the-art VesselView display and available Raymarine® navigation electronics offer seamlessly integrated control. The cockpit utility center includes an electric grill, fridge and sink, and can be optioned as a complete fish prep station, if desired. A starboard dive door with a removable stainless-steel ladder makes for easy water access. Powered by strong, reliable and efficient Mercury Verado® outboards perfect for watersports and cruising, the 320 provides an efficient and comfortable ride, aboard a stylish all-day boat.
From the outside, the 420 Outrage stuns. Beyond its awe-inspiring size, its clean lines and thoughtful design make a graceful, sweeping impression. Wide sidedecks, a robust helm and hardtop structure and the sleek helm impress with their quality and style. Below, eye-level windows and an incredible 7 feet of headroom create an airy, light-filled cabin, ideal for onboard entertaining. After long days above deck in the spacious bow and helm areas, guests can retreat to this well-appointed cabin, with its comfortable seating and a gracious head.
Standard quad Mercury Verado® 300-hp engines deliver the power and efficiency for even the roughest waters and longest offshore runs. Digital throttle & shift and joystick piloting boost performance and docking ease. Not to be overlooked, the 420 Outrage boasts serious sportfishing features when fishing trumps cruising and entertaining.
The new 320 Vantage and 420 Outrage represent a new chapter in excellence for Boston Whaler, said Boston Whaler President Huw Bower. In many ways, it’s a continuation of our legacy of unsinkable and legendary boats. But it’s also more than that we’re pushing the limits of what offshore center-console and dual-console boats can do, and we’re thrilled to share them with our loyal customers and the newly interested alike.
Sea trials of the 320 Vantage and 420 Outrage are available before and after show hours, by appointment only. Please reserve with Katie Hansen at +33 623 10 2746.
