(Feb 06, 2020) - New Vantage and Conquest models, new technology will be among the highlights of Boston Whaler’s Miami Boat Show presence
EDGEWATER, Fla. (Feb. 7, 2020) —
At the Miami International Boat Show, taking place Feb. 13-17, Boston Whaler will demonstrate its commitment to making the boating experience effortlessly enjoyable through cutting-edge technology and thoughtful design. With a large presence at two locations and more than two dozen models available for viewing — including the new 280 Vantage, 405 Conquest and 325 Conquest in their Miami debuts — Whaler’s status as an industry leader will be on full display.
“Our driving purpose has always been to innovate in ways that improve our customers’ experiences, start to finish,” said Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Customer Service Jeff Vaughn. “The new 280 Vantage is a prime example of this focus. Incorporating extensive consumer research, the 280 builds on the best attributes of the award-winning Vantage series to deliver tremendous capability and comfort, along with low-maintenance, headache-free operation.”
Ideal for boaters who want the flexibility of a multi-capable open-bow model, the 280 Vantage comes equipped for a wide range of boating activities, from entertaining to fishing to watersports and beyond. Amenities for socializing include a stowable cockpit grill station; an electrically actuated cockpit SureShade; spacious lounge seating in the bow; and Whaler’s uniquely convertible helm companion zone seating. New features make the 280 Vantage a capable fishing boat, as well, including integrated stainless steel rod holders, a transom livewell, and two large cockpit fishboxes that double as extra storage for keeping beverages on ice. A standard portside dive door aids in boarding the boat from the dock or from the water.
True to its Whaler namesake, the Vantage also features a precision-engineered hull that delivers remarkable stability and a soft, safe, dry ride. This attention to ride quality will be reflected in the full lineup of Boston Whaler models at the show — including the two new Conquests making their first appearances in Miami, the 325 and 405, deemed “SUVs of the Sea” for their adventurous capabilities. BoatTest.com recently called the 405 “a game-changer” that proves “Whaler can move into virtually any type of boat it wishes and have success right out of the box.”
Cutting-edge technology is another theme of Whaler’s displays, with celebrated features including Seakeeper® gyro-stabilization, JL Audio® speakers, and Mercury® propulsion options and command systems. Representatives from Raymarine® will be on hand to demonstrate DockSense™ Alert, the next-generation intelligent docking system that uses FLIR® stereo vision camera technology to detect and alert the captain when obstacles are near the boat and its blind spots. An array of 3-D cameras with advanced motion sensors accurately measure distances to the dock, pilings and other moored vessels, and create a bird’s-eye view of the boat and its surroundings — making it easier than ever to visualize the effects of outside sources and dock your Whaler in even the most challenging conditions.
Additional models at the Miami Boat Show will include a whopping six NMMA Innovation Award–winners: the 160 Super Sport, 230 Outrage, 230 Vantage, 320 Vantage, 345 Conquest and 350 Realm.
“Our dedication to providing customers with a seamless boating experience remains our priority,” said President Nick Stickler. “We’re proud to offer a lineup that empowers every boater to enjoy their time on the water to the fullest.”
Boston Whaler will host two displays at the Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin on Virginia Key — on water at Pier 6 and on land at Tent A115 — from February 13-17, 2020. For more information on the complete Whaler lineup, contact Traci Davis at [email protected].
