62 Boston Whaler dealers honored for excellence in customer satisfaction - Boston Whaler

Edgewater, Fla. (Jun 09, 2017) - 

An outstanding 55 Boston Whaler dealers have been recognized with a total of 80 awards from the marine industry’s independent trade organization, the NMMA, for excellence in customer satisfaction. The dealers are part of the inaugural class of boat dealer recipients of the Marine Industry Customer Satisfaction (CSI) Awards.

“We would like to extend our congratulations to all of the dealers who earned a CSI Award this year,” said Nathan Abdalian, Boston Whaler’s director of customer experience. “Ensuring the satisfaction of our customers is our number-one priority. Boston Whaler’s dealers are our primary representatives in the field, and we rely on them to provide a superior level of service. The CSI Awards speak to their hard work and dedication to the customer experience.”

To date, the NMMA’s CSI Awards have honored boat and engine manufacturers who actively measure customer satisfaction and pursue continuous improvement to better serve their customers. This year marks the first time the NMMA is using dealer satisfaction data collected through the CSI program to recognize boat dealers.

“Boat dealers play a vital role in fostering customer satisfaction and upholding a positive ownership experience through their approach to sales and service, and it’s critical that we not only measure and understand their role, but recognize those dealers who excel at serving boaters,” said Robert Newsome, NMMA vice president of engineering standards and membership.

Dealer recipients achieved an independently-measured standard of excellence of 90 percent or higher in customer satisfaction over the past program year. Data is collected as part of a survey among customers purchasing a new boat or engine during the period between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016. For this reporting period, the program surveyed more than 122,000 customers.
